The End Of The World....For A Day (poem I wrote when I had a cold)

(The below is a random poem I wrote over a year ago when I had an annoying cold)

My cold inspired me to write this...hope you enjoy!!!

Sick

The word just sounds bad

I will do an acrostic poem using "sick"

Stupid
Icky
Contagious
Krazy

Went to bed last night...
I think 10 o' clock
Woke up in the mornin'
And my nose wouldn't stop
And it hasn't since then
Every 2-5 minutes the mucus must drop

It's SO annoying
My nose is slowly turning red
In place of going to my soccer practice tomorrow
I most likely have to stay home instead

I'm SO bored
All I have is skool and the key board...
My day has been tough
And tomorrow will probably be even more rough

My throat hurts
But not that much
It just feels really wonky, while I dream of Gelerts

Sorry this is getting weird
I'm just trying to rhyme
While my brain is going dead
I think I'll look at the time
It's 9:26 at nite
I'm getting tired
My mom tries to make me drink water
But it only makes it worse

I feel as if I haven't eaten in an eternity
I wonder if I'll feel like this when I turn 30
Nah...
I would probably feel like I hadn't slept in an eternity

I hear violin music...I wonder what piece it is THIS time?

*sighs*

I grow more tired by the minute
My nose and throat just won't quit it
I keep hoping that it's all a bad dream and I'll wake up fine
But alas, it's not true
It's the end of the world
At least for a week ( !)
Every passing minute
I grow more and more weak

Why was sickness invented?
I would like to meet the contagious jerk who started it
I'd give him a piece of my mind!

I can't stay like this
When there's SO much to do
The world's moving by
And I don't have the strength to tie my shoe

It's 9:35 at nite
And time to go to bed
Hopefully tomorrow
Will be better instead of today
